View Full Version : Capturing mp3 on podsafe music site?

I'm on a Mac and when I am logged into the podcaster side of the site and go to my playlist and click on save mp3, it starts playing the song in QuickTime. How do I actually save the mp3 to my drive? I thought control clicking or option clicking might do it but nothing seems to work.
What am I missing?
Thanks!

I think Control-click ought to get you the pull down menu that'll do it. That's what I do, at least.

Big Mike,
Thanks for your reply. That's exactly how I thought it should work but the contextual menu is not popping up. I'm using OS X on the Mac with Safari. What's your setup?

I'm on the same thing. Weird. Sorry Doc, wish I could help.
It's not getting downloaded to some funky folder or anything, is it?

Hey Big Mike,
You helped me figure it out.
I was trying to control-click while it was playing in Quicktime and that wasn't working. The trick is to control-click on the little download icon that is in My Playlist.
I wonder why they don't just make it so that it downloads without holding down the control key. Maybe the default is set up for Windows...
At any rate, thanks for the hint. It got me where I needed to be!

I've tried resizing my Avatar. Let's see if this works.

and Doc.....YOUR AVATAR IS TOO.....er, nevermind. I was just going to go into my rap about penis envy.
You're right. I think it probably was done for a windows default.

If ever "Download Linked File" doesn't work you can let it load in QuickTime (I turn it off playing but still loading) and then do a Save As. This has happened to me a few times on sites that have Java or something that is preventing the right-click menu. (I use a trackball so I right click ;) )
