question, i can render video with my editing comp using Vegas 6 into mpeg4. Isnt that what the ipod needs to play? Or should i buy quickime pro and render with that? I can play my video on my PSP in mpeg4 (an additional file is needed but made at the same time as the render). Thanks!

Here's the specs from Apple's "Tech Specs" page on the new iPod:

MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo

The only other thing to say is test, test, test, and test again. Try exporting your video in a couple of different flavors and then pick the one that functions best for your delivery method.

Hope that helps.
