It's hilarious...or maybe it's just me.

Actually, this is the way that Pat listens to most podcasts. I've never tried it but she claims it really doesn't lose anything in the 'translation' and she can get through more of the them that way. Obviously it doesn't work for music podcasts.

YOu can do this in windows media player as well. Just go to play, play speed, fast or just hit CTRL+SHIFT+G.

Scott Fletcher also talked about it in one of his PodCheck shows a couple of months ago and Sam from the SGshow did a skit based on it when he hosted Scott's show one week.

If you want to know what's going on behind the scenes of the podcasting community, tips, tricks and what to expect from the future of podcasting then you need http://www.podcheckreview.com

Scott, shoot me an email and I'll tell you where to send the check.

You can also do it on the iPod, if you convert your MP3 files into a bookmarkable AAC file (.m4b extension).

Is this what Diggnation does with their podcast? I've noticed that it's bookmarkable in my iPod. However, the file extension is still mp3. How do you make an mp3 bookmarkable?

This is by far the most insane thing a person could do.

If you are at the point where you have to speed up the tempo of the podcast you're listening to, because you listen to too many shows, then you have some serious issues.

I suggested this because it sounds funny sped up.

Not sure where you're coming from.
