itunes: connection has timed out?

I just started trying to recieve podcasts yesterday but I haven't been able to make them work. I use itunes version 5.0.1 and whenever I try to "get" an episode the connection times out. now, I am currently living in China so connection speeds are probably an issue.... but I am able to download other stuff without much trouble.

is there a way around this? is the other podcast software better at dealing with this sort of thing?

I am new to this whole thing... so please be patient.

A lot of podcasters are going through lisbyn and they are having serious problems at the moment. SO the podcasts you are trying to download might be on their server.

I have it happen to me from time to time and I just wait a couple of hours or the next day and try it again. It usually works after that.

OK, it seems to be working.... well, sometimes.
