Libsyn has been nothing but a total friend to Podcasters from the beginning. They are going through some major growing pains right now like all of Podcasting.

I no longer host my files with them, but I always reccomend them to Podcasters because I yet to find another service that gives all the functionality that they do.

These growing pains have been going on every single day I have been doing a show (not long...21 weeks, but ****. Rome was built faster than their infrastructure!) They were going on according to the boards for many months BEFORE I got an account there and started reading up.

Are they EVER going to get stable? How long, how long must we sing this song?

How long?

Here's where I kneel holding a white flag and you all groove to The Edge jamming the f**k out. :)

i sure dont.

they seem to be keeping up witht he growth pretty good on my end...

...just hope they can keep up with the 2nd wave...when i get one million new
subscribers in three days...and clear channels stock dips 50 % in one week..

Speaking of Libsyn, I think they are good in general....

...but I think their server is currently down!

What a pain, and it's the middle of the day too.

I have had no problems with Libsyn. My files have always been available except for the times of prescheduled downtime.

So you are the one! And I mean the one, because everyone else has had serious issues with them for months and months well beyond scheduled downtime.

As a new podcaster I have no complaints with them. For the price they offer it is well worth it.

Just for historical reference on this thread, and to preserve libsyn's sterling (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=facetious) reputation, the three days of downtime you're refering to were the result of a real McCoy feud! (http://support.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=25458)

You are correct... it turns out that Dave asked me to clear my cache and I assumed he meant browser cache. After I finally got around to clearing my "DNS" caches. things popped back up.

Big ups to Dave for all his work.

There's no other place where I can consume 560gb a month of bandwidth and only pay $10 a month. Simple as that. I'm willing to put up with a bit of pain once in a while.
