Enough talk about politics please, (yes, people may disagree with republicans and liberals... but enough) I think of myself as a moral-centrists, meaning I look at both parties' morals then proposals and pick which is the best candidate...

So far, after the founding fathers to Abraham Lincoln, i havn't seen a great man become president. (Yes, FDR- wasn't great, Kennedy-was alright i guess, Johnson - helped with the vietnam war, Nixon - tried to end the war had a scandal, Carter - destroyed the economy (like bush), Reagan pretty good a little flaw here and there, Bush one and two - heart at the right place - execution terrible, Clinton - leaving the sex behind me...umm I have to say that...nvm you'll get offended.)

I understand that I am missing one president (FORD), but I can't talk about him, because I havn't studied him yet...

Number two:

Enough about Katrina, please I'm tired of it, it happened, I donated, My relatives volunteered ( i couldn't, I'm in school)... Enough... please don't expand on more controversial issues then that.

Number three:

This post is very political, I know it is... sorry. But the main thing is:
Why can't we just all get along... I'm writing this post because of Jack (or Jim) B. and Hitman who keep debated about political events... both guys please stop and Jack B. calm down man... Hittman Calm down man...

Everyone at least we agree on one thing... We like podcasts... let's start there...

Just to add fuel to the fire, on the latest Creepy Sleepy Show, we have a fantastic discussion with two Iraq vets. Both were pro-war prior to deployment, and are now anti-war post-return. This is NOT a partisan discussion. Creepy Sleepy is, of course, above that shite. Ya'll may find it interesting.

Additionally, on the next show we'll be talking about the 'Racist Thing.' That's all I'll say on that subject on this message board. If you're interested in our thoughtful consideration on the subject, you'll probably enjoy the next show. If you're interested in bickering and calling each other names...you will most certainly hate our next show, but should probably listen anyway.

So are we sticking to the 7 dirty words or is "profanity" a moving target? Is swearing using the British "sodding" or "bloody" accepted or the French "merde"? How about if it is truly profane and blasphemous, and if blasphemy is banned is it just blasphemy against Xtians or if I say hateful things regarding the Qu'ran or Zorastrianism or Wiccan does it cross the line?

This, kids, has been a demonstration of the mine field that is the banning of speech. Please note that the proceeding questions were asked with tongue (slightly) in cheek and if this had been a true 1st amendment emergency I would have started a thread called "Why does Adam Curry hate freedom?"

Im trying not to censor, but I just try to keep in mind that tons of people come here every day. People who have know idea what podcasting is or what podcast alley is. Our goal should be to not offend anyone, but to help them find the info or podcasts they are looking for and a community to hang out at and with. See what im saying? if you really want to continue these conversations you should take them to PM or email if possible (if you need profanity to get your point across). :D
