View Full Version : In Need of an Audio Editor...

So - I started my podcast, from the ground up - collected some co-hosts, got high-name guests in this field... Had a great time...

Then work set in. And now my podcast's schedule is going down the drain. It's now being referenced at some sites as "periodic podcast" rather than it's intended "weekly podcast"... All because of my lack of time to produce.

I DO have the time to record, and get all the files together - but I just don't have the time to spend a few hours to edit the file together and post it (we're pushing 4 hosts, plus one 15 minute interview, plus an hour+ long show as it is... it used to be two people, 30 minute show, with 5 minute interview - which would take over 4 hours to edit...

Basically all that blabber is saying is that I need an audio editor desperately... We can't give money as of this time - but if you have a product, etc. you'd like us to throw in the show - let me know... If you'd like something else - please let me know, and we can try to arrange something...

The podcast can be located at [the link doesn't work anymore so don't bother] - it's a Halo News podcast - the first of it's kind, and is getting a lot of attention - I just don't have the time to edit any more...

E-Mail revoked... this post is 2.5 years old.

I would be eternally grateful if you could help.

Sorry, I should have made it more clear - I'm looking for a person, not software. I've been using Audacity to edit my shows - and have had good success with it - I've just had a problem of too few hours in the day to be able to produce shows.

Here's a thought for you.

I do my show like a pre-recorded TV game show.

I gather all of my files and throw them in MegaSeg (Mac DJ software). Then, I do the show and play back the elements from MegaSeg live as I go. Once the program is over I can always edit a small mistakes if required and then upload.

I produce a daily :60 cast and a weekly 30 - 40 minute show with various elements and spend about 1.5 hours recording and posting.

Give it a shot.
