Guido van Rossum, the creator of the Python programming language, coined the phrase, "Computer Programming for Everybody" to express his desire to make programming accessable to as many people as possible.

If you have any desire at all to learn a programming language, check out Python, the easiest language to learn and use by far, and a very powerful language also. Try the Python411 podcast series at http://www.awaretek.com/python/index.html which is there to help folks learn Python!

Well, Perl and Ruby are just fine, but Python is the best general purpose language IMHO, because it is the easiest to learn, the easiest to use, is enormously powerful, popular, and Python code works on any computer, any cell phone or PDA, on the JVM, on .Net, etc. etc etc.

Python is fun, and anyone can learn it, and the Python411 podcast series helps teach one how to learn and use it. Python411 can be found at http://www.awaretek.com/python/index.html and you can subscribe at http://www.awaretek.com/python/index.xml and you can vote for Python411 at http://www.podcastalley.com/one_vote2.php?pod_id=5786
