Hi, I was wondering what people think of learning (or refreshing) foreign language skills via podcasting? The medium seems particularly suited to this sort of thing...
That said, does anyone know of any other French educational podcasts other than the French Pod Class?
Thanks! :)

While it's not exactly 'learning', we've had several notes from Japanese listeners who tell us one of the reasons they listen is to improve their English language skills. Perhaps because Pat is always correcting me......

There doesn't seem to be much in the podcasting space other than the French Pod class. If you're interested in learning French I would highly recommend the programs from Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone. They aren't cheap but they are a heckuva lot cheaper than attending a course or hiring a tutor. And you also get the benefit of unlimited repetition.
Here's a link to all of the French foreign language audio programs that we're aware of:

I would LOVE to see some podcasts for this. I've been looking to learn portugese or spanish for sometime and would love if there was a podcast to help with it.

I learned Spanish taking a Pimsleur course, and got it free, along with other Spanish CDs, from the library.
A language course podcast is a great idea. So many nitches waiting to be filled!
