View Full Version : Catastrophic Server/Database Malfunction

Due to a server/hard drive malfunction, the entire contents of this website, and everything added since 12am starting September 6th has been lost. Thank god for database backups, however, this does not help recover the data posted the last 20 hours today.

My appologies for this, but if you posted to the forum or added your podcast for addition to the directory anytime today (between 12am and 8pm), your entries no longer exist. You will need to re-add your podcast, posts or other changes.

If there are other issues, please email me at info at podcastalley dot com and i will see what i can do to fix them.

:( Sorry to hear that Chris.

Will we have our votes added back in? I know for a fact, I got a few votes today. Let us know what we'd need to do to get those back.

Len:

since all the data was lost, and all votes were lost too..that means anyone who voted will now have to vote again for you and will get another chance to confirm their vote (oh joy!)

Well...... this weekend, for the first time in 29 weeks, we didn't do a podcast. But I'm NOT saying I'm quitting.... ;-)

John,

Thanks man! Pat and I have been digging your show lately as well.

Maybe not two shows but we do have a couple intriguing ideas lined up for this fall.... Perhaps I should say the 'fall season' lol

You didn't do the show because of me, right? You hate me. That must be it. You want to punish me in some way for something I've done. Well, I hope you're happy, because you've made me miserable.

By the way....does the Jewish Guilt Trip work when presented in a forum?

Was there another database crash for the phpBB? Or was it just a slow day. ;)
