Green Room Radio, the online arts & entertainment podcast is proud to present episode #13, entitled "Video Killed The Radio Star." On this episode, we take a look at 5 recently released music DVD's.

People want more. Especially when it comes to the world of entertainment. No longer is it enough to just have the music, but now their must be visual to go along with it. MTV certainly started a revolution over 20 years ago, but that was nothing compared to today. Now music videos are everywhere, cell phones, computers, even on the flip side of a majority of new CD’s. The mid 80’s saw the start of putting concerts on video and selling them in stores. These days, it is unheard of not to have a DVD release of either a collection of music videos or a live concert. Even Devo have put out a few. Today we look at a few releases that I enjoy. Some are pretty mainstream. Some are not. Either way, you get to hear some great music from Sting, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Jamie Cullum, and oh yes, Donny Osmond.

Green Room Radio, created in March 2005, is the ultimate arts & entertainment podcast. Armed with a microphone and a load of questions, Green Room Radio has a hand in all the different forays of show business. Be it music, theater, movies, or books, you are backstage at the ultimate hangout. The goal of Green Room Radio is simply to "get to the art of it." Upset at the way the media was covering respectable performers and artists, Green Room Radio creator Erich Bergen went out to create a source where people could listen to an artist speak from their heart, not from a cue card. After only a few months, Green Room Radio has become just that; an internet radio show that interviews everyone from underground unknowns to show biz legends. In just the first 5 months alone, Green Room Radio has talked to Tony Award winning composer Jason Robert Brown, Rolling Stone editor and author Greil Marcus, film director Shane Carruth, record executives Tommy Krasker and Kurt Deutch, and many more. Upcoming guests include entertainment legend Michael Feinstein, author Peter Shapiro, singer-songwriter Brad Simmons and the star of the Broadway musical "Lennon," Ms. Julia Murney.
