I keep coming across news sites that are using the orange RSS or XML button to link to a page with a list or RSS links. Stop it!!!
If you find one, add it to this post.

incorrect use if the ornage RSS button
I also notice an increase of the use of Ornage.
The Guy who has the Ornage Website is pissed.

This is in outrage and must stop!
But seriously... what did you mean by "using the orange rss button to link to a page with a list or rss links"? It maybe all my misunderstanding but I don't quite get it. I think people are supposed to use the Orange XML button to either link to their own RSS feed or Link to somoene else's RSS Feed. Or to simply advertise that you are using XML. And of course that you are proud and don't mind giving David Winer some credit by simply using the Orange XML button that he likes to see. Gosh I am a huge freakin fan of David Winer. His podcast pwn's.

BTW- On Computerworld.com
They possibly use the XML button incorrectly.
They use the XML button to link to a "list of links".
I think the button is supposed to be used to link to actuall XML files. I will try and ask Dave W. what he thinks- but would consider myself lucky to hear back from that busy guy.
I think everyone should always include the orange XML button. At least once on their site. (if they are using xml/rss 2.0)

My point is that if a see a XML or RSS button it better link to a XML file, not an HTTP file with a list if RSS links. I did register at Dave's blog yesterday but yeah, he is probably very busy.
If you do a search for alwayson-network in the Google RSS reader, it tries to link to the HTML file that has a list of RSS links. Someone at Google must have had the job to collect feeds from all over the net and make them searchable in Goggle's RSS reader. They saw the XML or RSS button, and used that as the feed address, but it is not the right address. And the Google RSS reader will not let me put in the real RSS addresses for the alwayson-network.com feed.
