Did anyone see the Number of Episodes?

Total Episodes: 81678

You podcasters have created MORE than 81,000 Podcast Episodes. HOLY CRAP. And those numbers are way off, because I just started tracking a few months ago. When I first went through and cached all the episodes, there were only 20,000 and i thought that was amazing...we have since quadrupled.

Im amazed daily by the amount of content produced and am proud to be part of this community giving great content to the world.

thanks for bumping this one back up...in a week we have had a GIANT jump in episodes... we are now at 90,000+

thanks is almost 10,000 episodes in a week...what the hell, you podcasters are on crack to produce that much content!

And one guy managing all of that. Who's on crack??? :wink: I would say the dude who hits the pipe every night to make sure this place can handle all the other crackheads!!

Chris, how is the number of episodes determined? The current number of shows in the feeds of all podcasts at this point in time?

I only have one show in my feed right now, but I have 14 total shows done.

Just wondering.

Right now, that stat is just the total number of episodes that have passed through podcastalley.com through your feeds starting a few months ago. I actually have an archive of your past podcasts, they just dont show up in the feed becasue...well...they arent active of course.

More clearly, right now im just adding 1 to the total everytime a new episode is indexed. This number is NOT the number of total current active podcasts, its a record of all produced. Im working on those stats too.
