MixCast Live Trail edition is now available for download.

The trial version has no expiration, or limit on recording length.

Recordings are limited to 56kbps, and are tagged with an short clip on the end, besides that most of the features of the full version are included.

You can download MCL from any page on BigFeeder.com (http://bigfeeder.com) or MixCastLive.com (http://mixcastlive.com)

Hope you like it!

I have the old beta version. I don't like the new version, very screwy. Audio levels are off and they took a very easy to use program and added things to confuse the process.

I installed it, but I cannot record for more than 3 seconds. But I can't figure out what the problem is.

A pity, because from what I can see it seems to be perfect for my needs.

Can anyone help?

Has anyone done side-by-side comparisons of the newer versions of Podcasting Software?

<disclaimer>James did not pay me to say this</disclaimer> I use Mixcast and it is great. Especially the mapping of sounds to the keyboard. It allows me to run my jingles and sweepers without ever having to look at the PC monitor.

That's the kind of feedback I'm looking for. I want to streamline my production time. Currently I'm using one program to flow my music, intros, outros, etc. Then I use another to record everything. Then another to upload, and of course the blog to get the RSS working.

I also don't know if there are some kind of "hooks" that does some reporting to Podshow in CastBlaster.

Has anyone else done A/B comparisions?

I second what the Skinny WhiteBoy said. Mixcast is a great all in one solution. We do absolutely no editing and normally include clips and music on our podcast. Mixcast makes it a breeze to link everything together and quickly create an Mp3 file. I don't use the feeder functionality. I wish the program offered some options in terms of recording quality (I think that you can install some plug-in to do this). I would like to hear from someone who has used both Mixcast and Castblaster and see how the two programs compare.
