Dear Alley Members:
Throughout the past couple of weeks (as you can tell) Podcast Alley has had a series of outages. This is a direct result of the raise in popularity of podcasting not only because of iTunes, but because the influx of news stories written and syndicated about podcasting and Podcast Alley.

The new server has arrived! it is setup and currently being tested. Very soon we should be moved to the new box and performance should be much better. Very shortly after that you should expect to see the much talked about My Alley released.

I appreciate the patience you have had recently and am looking forward to being able to serve you better in the future. The upgraded server, new site features and some other goodies we have planned for release soon will worth the wait.

Respectfully,
Your Admin - theFerf

I thank you for all you have done here. This is a truly great resource. My wife lives on it. You have turned her into a neo-geek.

Definitely much faster. Have to break the habit of clicking on PCA, doing two other things, and then, coming back to see if it has finished loading. :P

You will need to get a "I Survived July 2005" T-shirt.

I've tryed to add our new podcast the past several days and it says it's "unable to insert into database". Is this because the servers down? Am I doing something wrong?

im glad you asked...the new server handles some things a bit differently, but until i have a minute to fix it, here is what you need to do:

1. Don't Use Apostrophes.

Thats it. Say do not, not don't. I need to escape (code nerd) the apostophes, and have not got to it yet...so it causes errors. submit your podcast name, description and keywords with no apostrophes ( ' ) and you will be good.

Thanks it worked. You should let people know about that.
