Hi everyone:
Chris....Move, edit or lock this as you see fit but here's MY take on the whole iTunes Podcast Support Controversy. Take it or leave it as you wish everyone.
Pat's Podcast Episode 18 Editorial (http://patspodcast.blogspot.com/2005/07/pats-podcast-episode-18-editorial-so.html).
Enjoy!

Your post title hook of "copyright infringement" raises an interesting point (apparently unrelated to your podcast editorial, which I listened to).
Should Apple, or any other Corporation be able to hijack podcasts (by listing them on their commercial site) from "Indy" artists to help them SELL more stuff (like Music, iPods, etc) from their site?
For wanna-be-commercial Podcasts is this obviously an acceptable pimp-me-pimp-you form of symbiosis.
For Non-commercial podcasts, is Apple using your creative work to make money for their Corporate Coffers? Does this violate your Creative Commons License (for me its Attribution and Non-commercial Use only)????

If you raise a stink against Apple, you have to pull your show from the Alley as well. The Alley sells ads, arguably a commercial use of your non-commercial program.
Be careful how far you take the indignation...you may end up doing nothing but shooting yourself in the foot.

Hi everyone:
My point exactly Jim. :D
Besides, the only people I was aiming my rant at are those who are contemplating legal action against Apple & iTunes over the issue.
I personally could give a rats *** if I make any $$$ from my podcast (I doubt I'd make enough to cover the rent for my apartment, let alone anything else), but I know there are those who do care and it is many of them that are griping over the matter.
And unfortunately, it is many of them who are contemplating legal action. They may not say very much, but it doesn't take a genius to read between the lines in the ramblings.
