Hi Everyone,
I wanted to announce a new podcast, Out of the Past: Investigating Film Noir. Every two weeks, my colleague Shannon Clute and myself discuss the impact of film noir through an in-depth analysis of a single film. While we will focus on many of the classic films noir from the 1940s and 1950s, we also want to discuss how this important film style impacts contemporary movies, and our 3rd podcast will be on this summer's hit, Batman Begins. While we will be discussing film history and film art, we hope that we do so in a lively and engaging fashion. We are trying to make our podcast be more of a critical examination of film noir than a film review show.
We are looking for any feedback or comments from this community on how to make this show better, or any feedback on the show's current format and content.
Thanks for your support,
Richard Edwards
Co-Host, Out of the Past: Investigating Film Noir

Assistant Professor of Communication
