After much hard work we are pleased to announce the launch of http://www.ipodverts.com.
iPodverts is the first auction site to specialise in the buying and selling of podverts.
iPodverts has been set-up to give podcasters an opportunity to sell advertising space on their podcasts. Podcasts attract very targeted audiences, which makes for a fantastic opportunity for advertisers to target specific demographics. iPodverts will now be able to bring together Podcasters and Advertisers.
If you currently run your own podcast or want to advertise on a podcast, then signup at http://www.ipodverts.com. It's FREE to join, and with basic listings, you only pay a fee if you make a sale.
Podvert n. ~ A sound bite used to promote a product or service during a podcast.

I would highly recommend that you suggest to your members listing their monthly downloads, GB data transfer, etc. to let advertisers know what they can expect in terms of CPM. I'm sure the shows are very good, but advertisers need to see Return on Investment potential.

The site is very professionally produced and looks great. But I've put a few thoughts on my blog:
Supply of advertising space far exceeds demand at the moment, so it's hard to see quite how this will work, since an advertiser who is interested needs only contact the podcaster they are interested in, rather than pay commission to a third party. And there aren't many willing to do even that at the moment.
Another drawback is that the site offers advertisers no help with the creative or the production of ads, and deals solely in the finding of ad space. Which is a shame, because this is where the site could find its USP. By offering cost-effective production and creative help to small businesses, it could find an untapped market in small, niche businesses who don't have the budgets to advertise in the mainstream, but match the demographic of the podcast. More of a dating and grooming service than an auction!

Thanks for all the feedback.
We will be adding a lot more to the site over the coming weeks and your feedback is greatly appreciated.
One of the ideas we orginally had was for podcasters to make extra money through offering low cost ad production or just doing live reads. In light of the suggestions we may ad another category to the site for businesses/podcasters that offer poduction services.
Thanks again

One of the things I did for my auction is I use a system to count click throughs so the advertiser will be able to see the number of clicks they receive from my listeners. The goal is they will be happy, and order more adverts. Right now (and this is probably a mistake) I put up an auction NR for one show just to see if anybody bites.
My other question is what are you doing to attract advertisers? It's one thing to attract Podcastors... I ended up bidding on another podcasotrs auction just becaase they have (I think) a bigger listener base and I am looking to promote www.podcastingshirts.com
It should be interesting to see if anyone bites on the NR auction.
