IMAO (http://www.imao.us/) Is one of the most entertaining podcasts out there. I have been a reader of many Blogs and love these cats. Give them a listen and LOVE THEM!

I'd have to respectfully disagree sir. I think they're not good at all, borderline 'offensive'. But hey, that's my opinion.

I thought about the "boarder" thing as being offensive (being I am Mexican)... but funny is funny.... sometimes (and they get political) politics taken too seriously in "comedy" labeled areas can be offensive. I did not find that to be the case on the show.

Yeah, PK and J show is awesome... I kinda see them as opposites to IMAO.
PK and J share more liberal views, have great quality audio, don't make gross generalizations, are very humorous. heh. just kidding
I did find rightwing duck the only somewhat redeeming element to the show.

My favorite shows right now are:
Distorted View
Viking Youth Power Hour
PK and J (of course)
Area 51
Extra Super Action Show
PodCheck
Tartan Podcast
Twisted Pickle
I'm still not sure about Inside Scoop and Yeast Radio. Sometimes I listen sometimes I don't...
do you guys have any recommendations on hidden podcast gems?
(ps is it just me or does #26 on the comedy section look like "Hitler and Friends" at first glance?)

mikes show is the standard for production quality.
That's what I measure the sound quality of our show against. And even though I think our show "sounds" pretty good, our audio quality isn't nearly as good as that of ESAS.
ESAS is mixed, recorded, compressed and eq'd perfectly. Then mike sends it out to a mastering house that charges 600 bucks an hour before he says, "ok. good enough for a podcast. I guess. ;-)

DANG! I thought it was Keebler elves that did all that stuff for the cat.

I downloaded a show, heard the premise for a bit based around calling Rush Limbaugh, decided I don't want a podcast made by dittoheads and deleted the file.

I listened to IMAO last night and thought it was rather amusing. Possible based to someone of a conservative stance maybe, but for the first podcast, very well done.
I'll stay subscribed for now :)

ps, they're on their 4th or 5th podcast. not their first.

That is the great thing about podcasting, we do not have to like the same things. It would be kind of boring if we all loved the same things. With such a variety of shows there is something for everyone.
I am a PK&J fan also.

Those are some really nice things to say, Eric, but Mike makes me sell crack up the street to pay for the mastering house.

Had you listened to the Rush bit, you'd have found out that Frank defended Bob Geldof against the (bad and incorrect) things that the blowhard Rush was saying about him. Frank set him straight, even though Rush really didn't pay Frank mush heed. But then, Rush is a pompous ***.
However...
Your prejudgment didn't allow you to learn that you probably agreed with what Frank said. Funny how that prejudice works, isn't it?
Free your mind. Be truly progressive and try to listen to a little of everything. It does wonders for your brain.

Free your mind. Be truly progressive and try to listen to a little of everything. It does wonders for your brain.
I avoid the word "progressive" because it has been co-opted by the socialists. "We're progressive!" Uh, no, you're borderline Marxists, buddy.
But I do agree that only listening to people you agree with makes you stupid. One of the dumbest people I know thinks she's brilliant because she reads the New York Times and listens to NPR for several hours a day. She is a first class idiot, completely unable to even comprehend any viewpoint that isn't far left.
The same goes for people whose sole source of information is Rush and Savage. They are going to be drooling goobers, convinced that they're brilliant.
I read the local liberal paper, and the Wall Street Journal. I listen to NPR and
Bill O'Reiley and The Daily Show. I hang out with people all across the political spectrum, and eagerly discuss religion and politics, among other things. And somewhere in all of that, I can glean the facts. I don't want truth, please spare me from people who claim to have The Truth. (When they say it you can hear the capital letters.) Give me the facts, and once I have most of them, I can figure out the truth for myself.

Eric, thanks for the nice comments, but Sue is absolutely right. I DO make her sell crack, but she also sells Revlon with it, so it evens out.

Man, I totally missed this. Thanks for the kind words. Just wait for this Monday for our super-patriotic episode in honor of Independence Day.
I say check us out no matter what your political viewpoint is (we're trying to be less political and do more general humor). Our cast is a pretty diverse group now... even though we all lean right.
Thanks for any reviews; I may be adding a podcast review segment to our show since we have a lot of listeners who haven't even heard of podcasting before.
