Hi,
I have a memorex mp3 player and it is setup as a removable device on my computer. It only plays files with xxx.mp3 or xxx.wav extensions. However, I am noticing that a lot of podcasts have a xxx.mp3.mpga extension. My memorex player doesnt recognize these files and will not play them. How can I get these files to just an xxx.mp3 extension without the mpga? What's the point of having this file extension. Thanks for any help.

hmmm, I've downloaded several hundred podcasts and never seen the ".mpga" -- but I'm on a Windows box. Are you possibly on a Mac?

Well, change the extension of those podcasts back to .mp3. Try to play it with your computer, and if that doesn't work then try to redownload the Podcasts using a different method.

sorry..should have mentioned that im using windows 98 and I'm using bloglines to subscribe to podcasts..thanks for that link, considering it's a fairly uncommon problem and doing a little thinking..bloglines is probably the problem I'll use ipodder. again, thanks..
