Looking for one Microphone for both my PowerBook and iRiver

I have been reading through the forums to try and decide on a microphone. I have seen some that require preamps and/or battery power and others that would not connnect up directly (probably requiring a mixer) to my PowerBook. Are there any possible mics that could be used for both the PowerBook and the iRiver?

I'm not totally opposed to buying one of the Behringer mixers (ub802) since I saw a used one for $35, but I'm trying to keep costs and extra equipment down to a minimum.

What price range?
Do you want a handheld mic, lav mic, or a studio mic?

I guess a lav would be choice number one since I plan to do some soundseeing. Although if I could get a lav and a studio mic for aproximately $100 I would consider that as well. I will be doing some interviewing in studio.
