I'm running OS X, and would like to streamline post production. I record the podcast onto my iRiver, load the mp3 into Audacity (normalize, compressor, etc.), export from Audacity as a wave, and use the commandline version of lame to compress to a 24kbps mp3. This is then loaded into iTunes to add the bitsmack logo and fix the genre to Podcast (lame won't let me set it at the command line).
What I would love to do is have a command line program that will do the normalize, compress, etc. Then I would need a command line program to change the genre to Podcast and add my artwork.
Any pointers? For bonus points we'd like to export a bookmarkable aac in the workflow. I'd like to do this from the command-line so I can automate it.
