Major market radio has jumped in. Z-100 NY has three podcast feeds:

One for their "phone taps", one for their morning show interviews, and one for interviews the rest of the DJs do.
I have to say - while a lot of the podcasting community might be real down on this - I think it may do a lot for podcasting having major market radio stations doing it.
Why? Because these listeners who want to get their Kelly Clarkson interviews or Bowling for Soup sound bites will be downloading and instaling podcatchers - and they will get curious what else is in that "directory" - and they will (hopefully) get into listening to podcasts other then what Z-100 is feeding them.
It is good for the radio stations too - they will get their call letters into iPods and that will increase their ability to remain top of mind for ratings.
Having been a radio guy, and a fan of Z-100 (though I don't listen much anymore) I think it will be great to get the "best of" Z-100's content without sitting through whole blocks of music I don't want to hear. I'm probably the exception.
So what do you all think?
