Friends, Romans, podcasters:
The latest edition of Illinoise! (http://www.illinoise.net) is a songwriting workshop with several historical milestones:
• The most podcaster contributions in a single Illinois-based podcast, including Brian from Coverville (http://www.coverville.com), Whiplash from The Whip Report (http://www.thewhipreport.com), C.C. from Accident Hash (http://www.accidenthash.com), Jeff from This and That (w/ Jeff and Pat) (http://www.thisandthatpodcast.com), Ferg from AirFerg (http://www.airferg.com), and more
• The first song ever written by NASA Janet
• An in-depth analysis of The Spice Girls' Wannabe
• The second-worst impression of Brian Ibbott ever
• Great, great, great original music.
Seriously, this is a good litmus test: if you listen and don't like this show, Illinoise! (http://www.illinoise.net) is not for you. If you love it, subscribe. Take the Pepsi challenge.
Thanks to all who contributed. Feel free to download, play and distribute NASA Janet's first single as much as you want.

Great show, that was a riot! I'd play the Karaoke version on Speechless if it wasn't for those pesky background singers. :)
I'm subscribed. Love it!

Hey, thanks for adding us!
That's a good reminder, too, that you can download NASA Janet's song in a karaoke version, sing along, and send us the results. Or, send it to Coverillllle! ;)

LOL - I can just see poor Brian getting inundated with 'covers'!
Thanks for letting me contribute - in retrospect I wish that I had been a bit more articulate about what I was doing as i was doing it in terms that would have been more helpful... ah well...
Great show - I enjoyed everyone's contributions and thought Janet's song was awesome!! (I was thinking of covering it in a reggae version, I find two things about reggae covers: 1- pretty much any song can be covered in reggae and 2- it's often funny)...

Great show, as always. I, too, really enjoyed the song.
It was fun to listen to all the contributions, and to be able to contribute. As I was listening, I felt almost as if I was reminiscing about the time we all got together to help NASA Janet write a song...kind of like the end of a Wayne's World dream sequence, where they say, "Oh, it it was all a dream....OR WAS IT?! WHOAAAA!! WHOAAAA!!"
Thanks guys.

Wayne's World, the single most influential movie of my formative years.
*sigh*
BTW, I'm already working on my Neil Diamond version of Love Letters from War. Looking forward to the reggae!
BTW2, Janet and I can't get your contribution songs out of our heads! We hope you're planning on finishing them.

I can't help but think that an "I'm Your Man" or later Leonard Cohen-esque version would work. When I first saw the song title, it reminded me of the title of a Cohen song. Unfortunately, I won't be able to pull that off for about 30 years, and, even then, only if I start smoking now.

I have to be honest that this is the first show of yours I've checked out and it instantly became a subscription.
Thanks for letting me be part of it.

That explains a lot.
Of course, I have a mug in my kitchen somewhere with a photo taken in Las Vegas with me as Garth and my business partner at the time as Wayne.

I thought the link to the single was http://nascarjanet.com but it doesn't seem to be working. Can you help me by providing the correct link?

This looks good....hey I write songs too, basicially that's what my cast is about...my songs and how they came to be, then you hear the song I was talking about. My cast is very low key, but I have several faithful listeners..... 8)
