Do you need a new version of a browser? I'm not sure what to do with an OPML file when I encounter it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I think I figured it out. I had to use Firefox, I don't think my version of Safari can read OPML yet.

OPML (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OPML) is a XML format for outlines.
It is the defacto standard for distributing directories of podcasts.
iPodder (http://ipodder.sourceforge.net/index.php) has the capability to export your subscription list as OPML and to import subscription lists as OPML.
eg. The Podcast Alley Top50 (http://www.podcastalley.com/PodcastAlleyTop50.opml) is available as OPML via a button at the bottom of the Front Page (http://www.podcastalley.com/). If you left click the button you should see the raw opml text. If you right click the button you can save the file to your own system and import it to your aggregator.
