I want to say a big "Thank You" to all on this forum who took teh time to answer my naive questions about mics and related stuff. I especially thankj Craig, since I wound up buying a Sony ECM-MS907 condenser mic for $75 and plugging it direcxtly into my Griffin iMic and I am quite happy with it! The Shure PG 58 was just not right for me, too much hiss and such. Thanks again, I'm all set up now and have 6 podcasts up on my site, good and happy podcasting to you al ! ;-))))

I've had this mic for 3 years for my mini-disc and recently switched over to my iRiver and it's amazing. For a mini-plug stereo mic - the sound quality is surprising compared to the big boys. I love this mic, and use it for "pocket radio" where I stuff it in my shirt along with my iRiver. Great for capturing ambient noise.
