View Full Version : Podcast Alley's popularity is skyrocketing!

I was wondering why it was that the top tenners were getting so many more votes this month, and now I know. Look at this chart from Alexa (http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?&range=3m&size=large&compare_sites=&y=r&url=podcastalley.com).
Even without the spike in the last few days, Podcast Alley has really shot up the charts! It's currently around the 17,000th most popular site on the internet!!

yeah, ive been keeping my eye on that too. im pretty proud of what we have all been able to do with this site. Alexa seems to have emerged as a pretty reliable place to get an idea of the popularity of websites. Hopefully i can pull a page from thier book and find a way to make this site a more respected place (in reguards to voting and top 10s).

Today, one day after discussing the popularity of this site, I am sad to admit the following.
It was the first time in A REALLY LONG TIME that I have been browsing the forums to notice that I am the ONLY registered user on. What seems to be 100+ guests is awesome, but what happened to the registered users?
Maybe its just a server glitch, but i dont think i have seen this since the first days of the forums. :(

Adam Curry plugged PodcastAlley on his DSC today. Mentioned something about this being "the place" to go, along with ipodder.org!
Should put this place in the top 16,000 web sites!

can i just say that i personally haven't been on because our traffic has skyrocketed so much in the last week or so that i'm now really busy trying to switch us over to a new server and do some upgrades to our site.
