I must admit it is pretty cool that this Fr. Rodderick guy is so up on podcasting. He seems like a pretty cool priest and I give him props.
But is it me or does he sound a little like a computer generated voice?
he's not but it sounds like War Games
"would you like to play a game"?

No, no, no Yaz; you have it all backwards...WE'RE the ones that are supposed to be narrow-minded.

Hi MeneGene, I'm glad you enjoy the show. I guess the weird sound is due to the reverb and compression I add to the recording afterwards. And I have had a bad cold during some of my recent podcasts, perhaps that also strengthens the 'War Games' effect.

 I totally agree with TheFerf, now that was totally funny.
Yaz - Oh man are you missing some great sound seeing tours. The one where he gets stopped in the airport for recording is a roar. And his show where at the beginning he explains all the things that have not gone his way with the Homer Doh! thrown in was brilliant.
IMHO, his shows are not just for the faithful but everyone.
Take care.

im not narrow minded, i went to catholic school for 11 years, i think i heard enough about religion to excuse me from anymore religious bs for the rest of my life thank you...there might be comedy, but the chance of a religious message is not worth it, and besides, i like cursing and nasty jokes and crap like that, and i doubt there will be any of it...

Fr. Roderick has made a couple podcasts today from the vatican reporting all the happenings around the pope's illness and emminent death. Religious or not, this guy has had a big effect on our world....you might find it interesting.

yea, our theory is that the pope is already dead but they want to release the news in the morning because it will be easier to report and more people will hear it and think its current, he does affect the world and that is a sad fact...

...being a wise *** and I got a response from Fr. Rodderick himself.
Thanks Fr.
I did get to listen to your recent casts after the Pope's death, my condolescenes. I must say those casts could hold to be very historic in this whole medium. Here we were seeing all this news coverage of his death but you delivered a much more interesting approach. The kind of thing that will be written about in textbooks should this whole revolution of podcasting turn into something. Nice job. Religious or not, it's very interesting to hear.
Now of course my plug.
In this week's Hometown Tales podcast we discuss some of the myths and legends of the papacy as well as a recent one from John Paul II. Of course we didn't go on too long about it because then we wouldn't be Hometown Tales and we'd be a Catholic podast. But being interested in folklore and culture religions fascinate me. Perhaps there's another podcast topic in my future. Enjoy
