I know on Blogger, you can set it up so that RSS readers can automatically find your mp3 enclosures. Basically, it gives you an extra box called "link" underneath the Title bar when you are creating a post. When you type in a link in that box, it makes your atom.xml feed act like a podcast feed.
I need to find the tutorial on it. On Blogger, it was pretty easy to do.

Burn a feed at feedburner.com, you can even code it so that when you update your blog it pings feedburner.com with the update.

i found that tutorial! somewhere.
now the problem seems to be that my 'atom' file isn't getting updated. so i have a couple episodes that don't have feeds.
i can't tell if this problem is happening at blogger or feedburner.

well feedburner reads your atom feed AFAIK so if feedburner is getting updated, all is well. Did you say that feedburner is messing with your feed?
The tutorial is at feedburner, under publicize methinks.

when you say 'burn a feed' at feedburner. what does that mean?
i do have a feed. and it worked for my episode. and it is through feedburner. but do i have to update something there each time?
i did the pingomatic thing. but it's not updating. the feedburner guy says that pingomatic only updates my feed after my 'atom' file has been updated. and this is supposed to happen at blogger.

Is that link in your sig to the site you're talking about?
Are you using blogger on your own (or creots own) webspace. If so I'm not sure if weblogs.com would automatically be updated if you were doing it that way, so that might be the problem.
"burning" the feed at feedburner is just what you've already done. Putting the atom url into the feedburner account etc.

Also, you should trash the references to that atom.xml file.
In the meta part of your template, look for code that references http://creotradio.ivorylodge.net/feedburner/atom.xml, alos remember to change the feedburner URL to reflect yours, not mine :wink:
<link rel="alternate" type="application/atom+xml" title="bitjobs for the masses!" href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/ElsThoughts" />
<link rel="service.post" type="application/atom+xml" title="bitjobs for the masses!" href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/ElsThoughts" />
<link rel="EditURI" type="application/rsd+xml" title="RSD" href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/ElsThoughts" />
From what I remember about changing my own template, the original code can just be overwritten. There is a tutorial on the feedburner forums, have a search.

is this the part on the side that has links to the feed from the blog?
well, i asked the feedburner guy what was the matter and he said that my atom file was not being updated. that everything was working on the feedburner side. and that (i think) the atom file is supposed to update automatically in blogger when you update your blog. but i think they might have something turned off in blogger right now because of some database problem.
not sure though.

I've been having no problems with blogger updating my feed. In preferences, is the option enabled for the atom feed to be updated when you make a new post?

this seems to be the million dollar question which i can not (for my life) find the answer to...
perhaps, i'll have to amp up the wit in my pleas for help from blogger.
