Found this little gem just a moment ago and thought I'd see what others think. This could be a very cool development as PodCasting reaches beyond it's current scope and onto a medium most people are familiar with:

Hmmm... wonder if I should start honing my Video Editing skills... Might have to upgrade from Windows Movie Maker :)

Maybe I should register every domain name possible with "PodTV" in it. Oh man... let's hope this "PodTV" moniker dosn't stick. Quick, someone help think of something MUCH cooler SOON...

PiVo?

I don't know... PodTV has a sort of cool Body Snatchers vibe going for it... Although it's not what I would call an accurate moniker (as iPod does not play video, and the other handhelds that do don't usually have cool names). PiVo is a good combo, but sounds kind of, I don't know, prissy, or uptight (like being "peeved" about something). Too many opportunities for abuse, as well (ie -- PeeVo...).

This will require some thought... Deep thought... VLOG-VO? Kind of rolls off the tongue, doesn't it (and into the wet, porcelain embrace of an eager toilet)?

Interesting. Videoblog entries can be pulled down by most aggregators. The trick would be making sure your video is in a format the Tivo can read.

Taking in podcasts and vlogs in your living room (or on your laptop with the Tivo-To-Go option) is interesting, but portability is the big thing. If the PSP becomes the iPod of video, folks will start having to get pretty familiar with their weird UMD format if they want to be watched.

actually dude, you can use the Memory Sticks to get video on there, you're not limited to the UMDs...

I really don't know that i see any merit in video blogging partially because there really are some bad actors out there lol...but then again, there are sure to be some good ones!

actually dude, you can use the Memory Sticks to get video on there, you're not limited to the UMDs...Hmm. I thought UMD refers to the format as much as the physical media. Turns out it's just a flavor of MPEG-4 (http://www.webtechgeek.com/Sony-PSP-Convert-Video-and-DVDs-to-PSP-How-To.htm). Again, not a common format for videobloggers (save those already using video phones or others using the standard). Apart from that, it doesn't seem like much of a stretch to have a podcatcher drop vlog entries into "MP_ROOT/100MNV01" on a Memory Stick... and as soon as someone develops a solution that collects everything via wireless...
