I've sent the particulars for my show in via the reporting form, about three days ago, but so far I don't appear when I do a search.
How long does it generally take to get a new podcast listed?

depends if your feed is working or not.
for me, it took a week. but it was because my feed was getting munched by some weirdness at feedburner.

just make sure that everything is working, your URL, the feed URL and everything...and hopefully you didn't mis-type when you submitted your info!

Yep, it's all working: people are able to both download and subscribe, which I can tell from my hosting server's stats and from comments on the blog. And I triple-checked the entry, and actually ended up sending it in twice: Sunday evening and then again on Tuesday, I think.
Still no listing on Thursday morning. :(

you may want to check out http://www.podcastalley.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=819 ... it can take a little while to get your Podcast listed, especially with the amount that are submitted daily.

Thanks for that link, aaronsnet. I read that thread and learned a thing or two.
To the best of my knowledge, my feed is working fine. Several people have told me they were able to subscribe since I submitted to PodcastAlley. Moreover, I've not gotten any email from theFerf or anybody that there's any problem with my site or my RSS feed.
I guess I'll just try to be patient and wait another day or two, and maybe keep checking and inquiring on this forum.
In last weekend's 'cast I encouraged my listeners to vote for us here, but since we're not listed, they can't. Very frustrating. :?

I understand your situation. I am sure that the ferf is working on a more effecient system to automate the podcast approval system and get them on here faster...but for now patients is all that is required.
I don't think that the ferf actually has much extra help with the admin of the alley. Maybe someday he will open it up to allow others to help out with the site and relieve some of the work he has.
