It seems like the perfect solution to get podcasts into my car. The price seems right as well.
If anyone has any knowledge of these systems, I'm also wondering if I'd have to purchase additional equipment.

I did not quite understand the description. I guess I am a visual guy, so for those out there like me. Here

I would love to have something like that though. How much better could it be. Set up to auto sync with my media player and the aggregator keep the podcasts up to date.
Never think about plugging up. Always have all the current shows, loaded in the car. If I could just find a decent news show, I would never listen to the radio again.

I'm seriously considering buying one. The only worries I have are the actual car setup. I'm cheap and don't wanna shell out another hundred bucks for someone to install it. I can't imagine pulling and splicing wires. I'm a geek, but not that good.
thumper, you can always get something like
http://www.radiotime.com/
which will record and encode audio streams directly into mp3.
you can also buy an am/fm modulator for another 20 bucks or so.

Installations are really easy, BUT!!!!! If you do nothing else right, get a wiring harness. You want to leave the factory wiring harness intact. Makes it much easier to throw the old radio back in etc and on top of that you can sit in the comfort of you house/workbench and splice everything together. Then walk out to the car and just plug it in (for the most part)
Any store that sells car radios will have a harness kit for your make/model/year. Cost like 10 bucks and is worth twice that.
And one last tip. This is my favorite style of splicing 2 wires; I have found it the best method without solder. This example is with a wire that only has 2 solid wires, but the principal is the same, just take the strands and separate them into 2 groups at the end of each wire.

I guess you would have to be in an area that had WIFI available all over huh? That is one problem that I would see with that is not having the availability of the WIFI signal.

the only use that i'm going to ever have for wifi built into my car is if i put a mac mini in my car, hooked up to my stereo and sit outside of my house and sync the songs between my computer and the mini

Why could you not have an auto sync system setup so when you pulled into the driveway or garage it automatically synced.
My van has a way I can leave it running for 11 min without me in it then automatically turn of. It is intergraded with the Auto start system. You could have the system set to shutdown automatically after sync was complete.

you don't have to have wifi everywhere, it just syncs with your wifi at home, downloading any media files onto your car. I could just park my car in my driveway and sync it up.
sweet.
