Email for Comments?

Hey, Ferf...

How about a feature whereby we could receive email when someone comments on our podcost (or maybe even just votes)....?

For those of us not in the top 10, this would be really useful. It would give us a chance to reply to our few loyal contingents.

Thoughts?

It would be nice to give thanks and enable a podcaster/listener relationship. I guess I see the case for anonymity (sp?) as well though....

It would be great to be able to respond via email to those who post comments or cast a vote. Maybe the Ferf could add an "opt in" option on the voting/comments page. The person voting/commenting could say whether or not they would like to receive a reply from the podcaster.

Over at indieheaven.com there is a way for visitors to email the artist. If an artist cares to respond, they can. That works well, too.

I don't think them contacting us is as big of a deal as us contacting them. Don't most of us already have quite a few ways for people to contact us, 206 call in numbers, email, chat, comments on our own website?

I do agree still that it would be great to be emaled when comments or votes change for my listing.

Here is a link to another thread where theFerf mentions there are some changes coming. It suguests that there will be more controll over our listings.

Sure, probably most if not all of us have several ways for people to contact us, but it doesn't hurt to include that capability here as well. The more ways we give folks to contact us the better!
