"The best **** cover-song podcast in the podosphere"
??
That is one hell of a bold claim.

Looks like someone is just a little late to the party. But, the more the merrier.
It is funny how you hear new podcasts borrowing catch phrases and concepts from older podcasts.

Agreed. In my opinion, anyone who brands their product with the words "the best" usuaally winds up being quite the oppositte.
Edit: no offense, bigee. Haven't listened to your show yet.

It's all about learning and experimenting though isn't it? Hell, I remember my first three podcasts had that electronic voice doing the song intros. I thought it was the best thing out until people started telling me that it wasn't so cool. LOL. The things you do... ;)
Going to do a quick shameless plug here. The latest show I did has an interview with Jaymz from Beatallica - the Metallica / Beatles covers band that has landed in hot water with Sony. Worth checking out - these guys are under immense pressure now and they're even receiving help from the Metallica legal team!

I'd guess Brian would be the first to say that 'more the merrier' and that Coverville shouldn't mean that anyone shouldn't do a show with covers in it - hey he's been really supportive of me and I play covers on Radio Clash; but mostly the sort that Coverville wouldn't probably play - either not family friendly or just plain weird.
That's my only response to this feed, apart from Toad the Wet Sprocket there's not enough weirdness for me , enough 'I'd really love to hear that' and it doesn't seem different enough to Coverville for me to sign up.
But more the merrier and I hope this person keeps going and finds some really odd covers...then I'd sign up. Rarity value is a biggie - that's why I love Vinyl Podcast so much at the moment.

Jaymz from Beatallica was coy about the latest developments but they sound pretty positive. Lars Ulrich from Metallica gave them a lot of help apparently. Good on him!

Sorry for going a bit OT but Lars and Metallica are probably still flinching from the bad PR about the Napster episode.
Telling your fans that they are criminals and seeming like a the industry lapdog while hypocritically having an image that's being an outsider doesn't usually sit too well...
never stopped Apple tho
