Downloading podcasts

Please, help me out!
I have iPodder installed to download the podcasts which I'm subscribed to. But when I open the folder where I should receive the podcasts, there is nothing in it.
What can be wrong here? In iPodder, I entered the folder for incoming podcasts in the appropriate insert field by browsing my pc. And now I don't receive the files.
Could it be that they get into another folder? Or is there something wrong with iPodder? Could anyone explain what to do exactly to receive the podcasts properly?

IF you are running Windows XP with Windows Media Player 10, iPodder automatically enters new podcast downloads to the WMP10 library. Check your WMP library under My Playlists to see if those podcasts have indeed been downloaded. If so, you can right click on the podcast file in WMP and select "Open Containing Folder". When the folder opens for that particular podcast, move up one folder level to find out exactly where iPodder is placing your podcasts.
