Which one to choose?

Hello!
I am new to podcasting, but find it very interesting and a fine new way of communicating!
I am considering to buy an iPod. Not only for downloading and listening to podcasts (vhich I can do also via the internet), but rather as a music carrier.
I've looked up some information and now I am doubting whether to buy an iPod mini or an iPod shuffle. The shuffle is cheaper and may be handier for its size. But the iPod mini has a display (which I consider very useful) and more storing space.
Can you help me out of this dilemma with some good advice? Which are the pros and cons of both types? And which one has the best price/quality level?
And of course, any other suggestions are welcome!

Unless the price difference prevents you from buying the mini, or unless you plan on exercising extremely vigorously while using the iPod, I would get the mini. With the recent price drops the mini isn' that much more expensive than the Shuffle and you get significantly more storage space plus the benefit of a screen.
