I'm just interested in seeing what's the most popular.
This is a democracy. Just like... some other country other than America...

Fun names. Although it will make it very difficult to keep track of the WhateverCasts in iTunes without a consistent genre or grouping.
 I have an idea! Let's just keep the name that's already in use... although I don't see that choice on the poll. Was this thing generated in Florida or Ohio?

We've already talked about this on the general forum, but here's the gist:
'podcast' is inaccurate. It unnecessarily advertises on the behalf of Apple. If podcasts become really huge, people will automatically associate it's success with Macintosh. Isn't that one of the main ideas behind 'podcasting'? To highlight individuals over mainstream broadcasting and big companies? But with a name that implies it's a byproduct of Apple, you're just feeding a the megacorp.
I don't see DELL putting up a blog or a podcast. Why don't we call them Dellcast? TrumpCast? BushCast?
You get the point.

I've actually been approached by an "unnamed" company and asked to begin referring to the Bugcast as the Ican'tbelieveit'snotbuttercast.

That's funky; I was telling my brother-in-law about podcasting this weekend and he thought it was cool, but didn't own an iPod so thought he was out of luck.
BushCast?
Now there's a podcast... oh you mean the president... dang.
btw, I'm Evil Wayne and this is my first post.

well, unfortunately people always refer to an item by the company's name that first produces or masters the products that represent that item, just like rollerblades vs inline skates or coke vs soda or anything else like that, people just always make the connection to the first dominant product, why don't we call it netcasting or netradio or some crap that shows its related to the internet, but calling it timmy is just retarded, go grab your helmet, the bus is outside...

of course calling it timmy is stupid, that's why it's funny..i agree tho, netcast (or something like that) would be more accurate
