Hey everyone,

I have two Sennheiser e835s mics that were purchased for me a long time ago for a job. Has anyone out there used these before? How are they compared to others out there.

I've been using it for my podcast for awhile, but I'm trying to improve the quality of the sound and wonder if I should keep these or if it's time for an upgrade.

Thanks for any info

I think your show sounds great fellow CBus podcaster.

It's kinda nice to use condenser mics because then you don't have to be right up on the mic all the time. But then you need to use 48 volts of phantom power which if you don't have could cost you between 50-200 per channel.

Usually mixers that have phantom power have to have the phantom power on all the channels with XLR inputs or none. So you couldn't plug your sennheisers into the board with the phantom power turned on.
