Dumb question time

I've been using iPodder for a few weeks now - and just noticed that I've got megabytes worth of files in a folder called "My received podcasts". Given that iPodder is automatically putting my podcasts in iTunes (which is where I listen to them from) can I delete the stuff in these files (the one for each podcast) even if I haven't listened? i.e. I assume that the my received podcasts folder is a duplicate of the stuff that has been transferred to iTunes format?

Cheers, Bsquared

hmmmmm - i did a little test and discovered that if i deleted the files from one of the podcast folders the next time i downloaded feeds for that podcast using ipodder it re-downloaded a bunch of the old ones that i'd already heard - so it seems i have to keep them in both places?????

perhaps i could change the folder that my podcasts are downloaded to? maybe i could have them download direct into the iTunes folder - then they wouldn't be duplicated on my not very roomy hard drive???
