I know there are a handful of podcasters from Ohio, myself included. And I think we should have a club (not a real one, but an online one) that is made up of Ohio Podcasters.
So far, I know Allthewhile is from Cincy and PK and J is from Columbus. I think that pretty much covers the state. :D
Anyone else podcasting from Ohio here?

I am not a podcaster, but My friend and I are from ohio, and we have our own podcast directory. So we're part of the podcasting community........Does this quailify for your club?

I'm totally down jawbone. Let me know where to sign and I'll sign. Please let this club revolve around alcohol to some extent (rather than some other opiate of the people).

I'm listening to your show now Jawbone. I like it. I like it very much.
Let's pursue this Ohio alignment and spread the word about audio education and the like. Cleveland rocks. Go browns!

Excellent. My plans are slowly coming to light...
*rubs hands together*
I mean...yeah, this is going to be fun, :D
BTW, Allthewhile, I think we're scattered all over the place. I'm the farthest north in Cleveland and there's probably more to do here than in Cincy or Columbus. Then again, I am kind of biased toward my town. ;)

Im actually in KY, but only by a couple minutes, most of my focus is across the river in Cincy, which is also where I work. Love to be a part...

Heya,
I'm in Columbus, Ohio. I'm totally up for a club! I'll help build the super-secret tree house, and start working on the uber-super-duper-secret handshake.

No you're quite right. Cleveland is much better than C-bus. Pittsburgh is better than Cleveland, but that's when I veer into the subjective again. I should be editing the show instead of posting to the forum right now! New episode of the PK and J Show coming up with our first in-studio guest appearance.

Cool! Who is your guest?
I was in Cincy last year and we ate at this really excellent restaurant called Aoili. Man, that was delicious.
I haven't been to Columbus for a while, so I can't speak for the nightlife there. Cleveland just got the House of Blues which is pretty cool. I should go visit Pittsburgh one day.

I was in Zanesville, Ohio this past weekend. There's a whole lotta....nothing...out there.
Cows.
I saw lots of cows.
Yay Ohio!
Cleveland Rocks! (I think. I've never been, but the song says so, and I have to believe what the song says.)

The Bitsmack Podcast is recorded in Ohio! RC is in Columbus, while I'm in Kenton (NW Ohio). We use Skype, and are still trying to work out all the bugs. Check out our podcast at http://bitsmack.com/.

I haven't been there for several years now, but when I use to go it was pretty good. The line wait was still long, but there are a couple of things you can do to help that:
- Go on a Wednesday
- Get there when the park opens and either head straight to the rides you really want or head straight to the other side of the park and work your way back to the front.
I'm sure Cedar Point has something up their sleeve to get back the crown of the tallest and faster roller coaster... :-)

I'm originally from the Youngstown area (I know), and went to Cleveland all the time. I don't know how much it has changed, but the flats used to be the place to see awesome bands. I saw pavement at _______ Down Under, Smashing Pumpkins at the Agora right after "Siamese Dream" came out...i've been to a bunch of shows at the Odeon too.
Anyway, yeah, Columbus doesn't have a whole lot to offer. It is coming along, but the nightlife is made or broken by certain groups of people. The biggest problem with this town is our infestation of hillbillies. The Mason-Dixon line went straight through this city I swear. Ytown didn't have any hillbillies (3 hours north).
