Congratulations to podcasting Brian Ibott on being the recent edition of Business Week Magazine! You can read the entire piece here (http://www.businessweek.com/technology/content/mar2005/tc2005033_0336_tc024.htm) but as a teaser...
The New Radio Revolution
From satellite to podcasts, programming is exploding -- but the fight for profits will be ferocious. How fast is technology turning radio upside down? Ask Brian Ibbott. Last September, when the wannabe Denver deejay started playing music on the Internet, the term for what he was doing -- podcasting -- had been around for two weeks. These days the 35-year-old produces a half-hour show of popular songs called Coverville.
Congratulations Brian on your publication (and on your image that is bigger than
Howard Sterns)!

As an update, there must be 100 (NBC5 news, Chicago and many others) other websites that have syndicated this story. Unbelieveable.

Thanks - you know I'm not one to toot my own horn.
I've heard you can go blind by doing that.
The end of the article in the issue points to an "extra" article. If you enter the URL, you have to give a bunch of info to BusinessWeek to read it, but I don't think they'd mind me posting a link to the "extra" article it references:

Thanks again for catching this, Chris. And for your congrats, Craig.

Wow Brian...that second article is really great. Kudos to you man. You do a great show and deserve the accolades.
So...can I request some Me First and the Gimme Gimmies for your next All-Request Sunday? :D

I've been trying to get a hold of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes for permission. They seem like a nice bunch of guys. But their website's down, and I had to go through their label...
I'm hoping to hear something soon. Me First is the penultimate cover band, so at the very least I should get a song on the show. At most, an interview... :D

I was wondering why you haven't played Me First and the Gimme Gimmes yet. Now I know... :)
Hey man, if not them, play Hagfish's version of TMBG's "twistin'" or else Aimee Mann's cover of Coldplay's "The Scientist."
