View Full Version : Question about incorrect "time info" on podcasts

I hope this question isn't too stupid, but I have been noticing something odd with my downloaded podcasts that I can't figure out.

When I play a podcast on my device, the time info is always incorrect. Let's say a show is 30:00 long. When I play the file, the time info says the show is something like 4:00 long. Up to the point where the file reaches that hypothetical 4:00 point, I can rewind or fast forward normally. But once the "time bar" reaches its maximum at that 4:00 point, the rest of the show continues to play normally, BUT I no longer have the ability to fast forward. My "back/forward" buttons will only jump to the next file or start at the beginning of the current file.

I have noticed this on all my downloaded podcasts (including Hardcore Insomnia Radio, DPP, Modpod, TUTT and Radio Clash, among others). And this is not limited to one MP3 player. I have tried these on an iAudio G3 and a Creative Zen Micro with the same results.

Does anyone here have any ideas on what is causing this to happen? Is there a way I can fix it?
