The greatest podcast yet! As I go along I’m getting more confident and having more fun. I did a review, played a lot of weird audio, and ranted away. The family joined in for the fun today. The highlight of the show had to be playing the earliest ever recording of a Pope c. 1903!

This is the 6th episode of the Catholic Cast. This episode is dedicated to Terri Schiavo and her plight. While the show isn’t entirely about Terri, I include a pretty long statement and some information about what it’s like to starve to death; the death sentence now being placed on this innocent woman. Please check out other podcasts dedicated to Terri Shiavo at discipleswithmicrophones.org.

7th episode of the Catholic Cast. I've found some great catholic music to play, started a new segment where I talk to my grandfather (he's not Catholic, Christian, or anything) and ranted just a tid-bit about Terri Schiavo. Expect my rant to not be in-depth at all. It wasn't planned out.

The 9th episode of the Catholic cast!
Production wise, I’m pretty proud of this show. It is of course, my tribute to the Holy Father. Included within is an original song from Cor Sanctum about the Holy Father, an interview with Salvador Miranda about the cardinals and the upcoming conclave, as well as a pretty light-hearted conversation with my grandfather.

Stay tuned for next weeks episode when I interview "Pope Michael I", who claims to be the true Bishop of Rome, elected in 1990 in a "conclave" in the family store in Kansas. More on "Pope Michael I":

Well, drats. I can always change back. I think I'll wait a few months though. There's a piece coming out in the National Catholic Register about my show and I told them the name the name of the show was The Disciple.

Eh, it's your show. You can do what you want. The Disciple sounds more like about you than about the Church as a whole. But if you're starting to market under that name, go with it.
BTW, you should send something The Wanderer, too. I'm sure they will run something.

'The Disciple' sounds like some beefed up wrestling guy from the WWE. I'd stick with Catholic Podcast or a slight variation thereof.

If I remember correctly "The Disciple" was a pumped up wrestler.
He was actually called "The Disciple" and teamed up with the NWO or something but we all really remembered him as Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. He used to strut in the ring and cut off his opponents hair with hedge clippers after he won.
I can't believe I know this.

Okay "Disciple Radio" would probably be a better bet then. I just think Catholic Cast is too generic. Maybe I was wrong.

Okay, I’m a fool. I changed the name of the show back to “The Catholic Cast. This was, however, a great show. I interviewed, David Bawdin, otherwise known as “Pope Michael I. I play some great blues music, do horrible on Catholic Trivia, and just talk a while.
