What's up with Adam and Dave?

Am I the only one that is puzzled by or unaware of the reason for the evident chill between Adam Curry and Dave Winer? One minute they are meeting in Florida to plan some business venture. The next Adam is pulling his stuff off Dave's server. I may have missed it, but I have not heard an explanation of what happened. Please enlighten me.

Another item I noticed was that Adam has taken down the link to scripting.com on his blog, which is childish to say the least.

Now I have to manually type it in.

I went back through Dave Winer's posts for the last two months and found this on February 17. This may explain some bad blood between them:

"My company, UserLand, has a product in development called My.UserLand On The Desktop that supports both sides of this format." We shipped it shortly after I wrote that piece. Next week, Wired may give Adam Curry an award, for work that I, not he, did. I've told them this is not cool. Haven't heard yet what they plan to do about it. They offered to give me a free dinner. I'll buy my own dinner, thanks. I want credit for my work. I don't mind sharing it with Adam, because he was part of the invention. I've never been cheap with crediting Adam. But to say he is the inventor is just plain wrong. BTW, I think Adam could fix this with one email. ¬â€*

Both Dave Winer and Adam Curry mentioned the other today in ways that suggest they are trying to send out peace feelers.

Here is Dave from his blog:

"It's okay with me if Adam does the book. I'd happily help him or his ghost writer. I've had lots of offers to do books. I've never had the patience for it. I like instant results, that's the kind of writer I am."

On the Daily Source Code today, Adam said, "We may have our disagreements, Dave and I" as he set up this comment about Dave's concern about the Google Toolbar, "I'm with you on that one."

Okay, now will one of you guys send the other an email or something.
