I have ran a webradio site for a while and see it going good, but want to carry it to a higher level. How hard and expensive is it to get licesnses ,like i see some podcasters climing to have. Also whats the scene for anti bush sites looking?
Thanks

Start out by searching for the word "license" within the forums. That's a place to start.

The problem with licensing music is that you have to get licenses from so many different places, and each have their own rules. ASCAP, RIAA, BMI, and so on.

As for "anti-bush" podcasts ... Al Franken and the Minority Report are both podcasting (the only two of three broadcast radio shows that are podcasting), and obviously both are pretty anti-bush so you may have that to compete against.

But hey, if it's something you are passionate about, then why not do it, who cares what the "competition" is. (and I say that being a not-so-pro-bush ... but not neccessarily anti-bush either ... republican).

It seems to me that with podcasting, the best shows are often those that people are excited and passionate about doing. So if you're a politically passionate liberal ... I say do your show.

Shoot, let me know the URL and I'll listen (may even rib ya a little for being a "lib" :D )
