OK. All the testing with the mics, external music source, etc, etc are done and they sound great.

Once I have the show recorded what's the best way of getting it out there to the world. I've looked arounf at different blogging sites and that might be the way to go. Although, I currently own a website hosted at my companies servers. I guess I could do some cheesy Front Page layout there. If I went with a site like blogger.com I could do the wrap up info there and then possibly place a link back to my website. This way I cut out paying for storage space as well as download limits. Anyone do that no or have experience with it?

This part of the podcasting is the one I have little clue on.

Looking for suggestions on anything.

Thanks in advance!

You don't need a web site at all, actually, just the MP3s and an RSS file (or dirCaster (http://www.shadydentist.com/wordpress/software/dircaster) if your server supports PHP). I'd be careful using your company's server unless they don't mind you using the bandwidth.

If you want a web site without the hassle, take a look at Podcastamatic (http://bradley.chicago.il.us/projects/podcastamatic/)...it will automatically generate the HTML and the RSS based on the MP3 tags.

Thanks for the input Craig. Hosting on my company server is not that big of a deal. We're a small four person shop and the owner is friend from high school.

As for actually posting the MP3, while I am looking at an RSS feed, I though having the MP3 on a site that people can visit will help out some of the technically challenged. RSS may not be something some people are totally into yet so they could just goto the site and save the file to their computer. I figure give the people several different ways to get a show. This way you are not limiting your audience to a certain set who uses certain technology.

You're right. In that case Podcastamatic would be your best bet.
