Voting troubles

A number of my listeners are having trouble re-voting. Here's a quote from one of them:

I've been unplugged for a few days . . . never voted in that time . . . we're not talking about a 1 day/24 hr. question . . . never voted in days. . . it still thinks I have . . .

yes I've had that over 24 hours issue, also trying to vote again within that 24 hours seems to reset the counter to another 24 hours...meaning I never get to vote!

i've noticed that some of my friends voting with hotmail accounts get the confirmation email delivered directly into their bulk/junk/trash(whatever the **** thing is called) folder. also, i was wondering how the voting system handles IPs, as i have a friend who wants to vote for me but cannot, could this be because her IP range is in the same range as another person using the same ISP, in this case, ntlworld? i have a few friends here in northampton who are connected with ntlworld, and am wondering if perhaps the ip filtering is too strict. anyhoo, keep up the good work.

Curious how the new voting is "monitored". I have a few listeners where I work and as soon as one of them voted for my "Commute-Cast", the rest could not. Is this watched by the domain of their e-mail or their IP?
