Back in the dark ages of May 2004, most people could only dream of having a personal radio show and beaming their thoughts out to thousands of people across the globe. Now, if you want to tell the world how you feel, all you need is a little piece of software, a microphone and something to say and you're an instant international DJ.

Now that MTV has discovered podcasting, how long before it becomes a trendy thing and all the teens start doing it? I give it three months, maybe less. Awful, I hate MTV. They will then take credit for creating the podcast trend. Eck.

It's already happened mate! podcast.net is getting swamped by new podcasts. There seem to be people on there literally burning a whole LP to a podcast and then posting it, 10's of them etc. Out of control.

Your worries are more than warranted guys.
But look at the positive side. The article mentions the success Manda and the Marbles have had with podcasting...the proof? Well, they just got mentioned in MTV's article. Insomnia Radio was the 1st to play them, and the fire spread from there.

We are making a difference. Let the little kids break the law, but let US keep doing what we KNOW is working...

LP? What's that? :D

Seriously, I bought some old '50s Hawaiian LPs recently off eBay to transfer to CD and when my 8-year-old daughter saw them she thought they were really big CDs. <sigh>
