Looking for some help... If you know of a podcaster that lives in the midwest region, could you please let me know about them?
I would really appreciate this.
Thanks.

Are you thinking about putting together a midwestern ring? Here are some other shows I know are produced in the midwest:
Dawn and Drew Show (Wisconsin, dawnanddrew.com)
East Detroit Radio (Michigan, eastdetroitradio.com)
Radio Zoom (Iowa, audihertz.net)
The Good Beer Show (Indiana, goodbeershow.com)
Why-Fish Radio (Minnesota, why-fish.com)

Hi Dave,
I'm in Saint Paul (vinylpodcast.com (http://vinylpodcast.com)). A couple of other local podcasters are Garrick Van Buren (http://garrickvanburen.com/firstcrack/) and Digital Soapbox (http://arif.rabblerouser.org/).

I lived in the Midwest my entire life and Chicago winters have made me who I am today, for better or worse. But now I'm in exiled in North Carolina. I do still live in the Midwest inside my own head. That must count for something, especially in this virtually kind of medium? I also live in the Midwest in one of my podcast EatFeed as often as I can. I did a show on food in Wisconsin (Jan 12) and I've got one coming up on food in Chicago (Feb. 9).
Not sure why you're looking for Midwestern podcasters, but I'll just add an aside that my husband who teaches classes on radio history at Duke makes a big point of talking about the way the Midwest created the whole industry of radio in the early days and he's fascinated at the power out of the Midwest in the new "radio" manifestation of podcasting.

vinylpodcast,
I was in the same article that you were in last week in the Pioneer Press.
You got the beginning of the article, I got the end.

I've started a list of Midwest Podcasters (not published yet). Kristopher Smith (from http://www.croncast.com) and I (http://blog.zemote.com) are working on having a informal Podcasting dinner with people from the Midwest/Chicago area. Tentative date is Sat Feb 12. E-mail me at jeff@zemote.com if anybody is interested. A venue has not been decided upon.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Thank you for all the response.
Some of you I have already contacted, others I am in the process of contacting.
The reason for this post was to build a list of area podcasters and try to organize a gathering of some kind.
Well, since that first post this event has taken on some steam and it is going to be a much bigger event than just Midwestern Podcasters.
We are organizing PubCast 2005. This is going to be a podcasting conference with sessions and hopefully a private dinner party. The event is taking shape and we are currently sending out invitations, but if you are interested in attending please let me know. This event is open to all podcasters.

Me and two friends are about two to four weeks away from getting our first podcast out. Working out some recording wrinkles, trying to find a name for the cast, and just getting my bearings on all this since I am the primary "engineer" on this.
Nice to see a strong Midwest showing for podcasts.

Is Colorado considered "mid-west"? If it is...then here we are!
I believe we are the first podcast on the forum in Colorado. Someone correct me if I'm wrong! We just got our first podcast out last week. We are having a lot of fun with it. Thanks to all of you guys out there for your posts on how to set up a podcast. It took me about a week and we were up and running. Podcasting rocks!

I've created a podcast here in East Lansing, dedicated to Michigan State football. As far as I can figure out, I've got the only podcast dedicated to a college football program.
On Feb. 15, a story on the enlightened spartan podcast was broadcast on Fox 17 News in Grand Rapids, MI, and they are also doing another story in the Detroit News.
Anyhow, I'd love to attend a get together.

The name's Deniz Rudin.
I run my podcast out Wayne, Nebraska. Tiny little rural town.
As far as I know, I'm the first podcaster from NE. Am I wrong?

I'm sure that you'd be invited Chris, even though you're not a podcaster. You're doing a great job, here.
Dave, how big is the list of RSVPs? That place will only hold 200, right? Might have to find a bigger place if this gets too big...
I'll be there!
