Yeast Fights Back

Now that Madge Weinstein (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=3859762)'s campaign against Vaginal Yeast is growing legs through her podcast (http://homepage.mac.com/rishey/yeast/yr010605.mp3) there are troubling reports that yeast may be fighting back.

Early last year, NPR reported (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=3859762)that yeast cells may have a voice of their own, and there are now rumors that they have hired a Washington pubic relations/lobbyist to counter Weinstein's audio activism.

I first thought the report was a joke. :) "Researchers might one day be able to detect the early stages of diseases like cancer by listening to human cells, Gimzewski says." Interesting, I wonder has anyone succeeded in that.
